Using AI with students is new to Carroll, and we're treating each class project as a pilot. If you have an idea for some AI curriculum (or don't have an idea but want to try out the tool), reach out to Erin at techsupport@carrollschool.org.

Before using AI tools with students, you'll want to know the answers to the questions on this page. If you don't know them now, that's okay!

What do I Need to Know?

Which AI tool will you use?
How does AI contribute to the project?
What part will students do with the tool's support, and what will they do on their own?
What support will you need from the tech team?
How will you evaluate that using AI has been helpful?
Who do you need to inform about the pilot?

Students can use Gemini, NotebookLM, and MagicSchool, with their teachers' permission and project guidance.
